jenny.gilberg: Visual Artist and Musician
One of the UK’s top steel pan soloists (British Association of Steelbands solo champion 2008). Based in Newcastle, she is a classically trained musician and established steel pan tutor in the North East of England. She has performed in many prestigious national and international events and competitions on pan as a soloist and with various bands. Jenny has many years of experience tutoring and leading workshops with bands, schools (Primary and Secondary) disability organisations and the wider public, all ages and abilities. She works as a steel pan and woodwind tutor across the region and works freelance in numerous schools. She studied a BA Fine Art degree at Northumbria University graduating in 2009 with 1st Class Honours. She is currently a member of GSN studio Northumbria.
